It’s not just the best livestock that are judged at the Royal Highland Show. The finest foods, traditional skills and show jumping are also assessed with the winners receiving highly coveted prizes.
Competition Classes
- Farriery classes take place each day in the purpose built forge - a great spectator event.
- The Honey Marquee is literally a ‘hive of activity’ with competitive classes for jars of honey, honeycombs, beeswax and baking.
- The all-action Sheep Shearing competitions are fiercely fought with competitors from around the world taking part.
- The Dairy Products classes include cheese, butter and ice cream – watch the judging live in the Food Hall.
- The Show Jumping classes attract many famous names in the sport from across the UK. Jumping take place in the main arena as well as in the equestrian ring.
